FAA IT
Hi, considering a move to the states to do some regional flying more or less for the exposure to a different part of the world/operation. I've read some articles regarding people's concerns about information sharing between US agencies ie FAA/TSA/FBI/Homeland security. Curious to know what is shared, is there anything I should be aware of coming from Australia?
Thanks in advance.

You don’t need a flawless record, people make mistakes, and I wouldn’t worry about it unless you have something egregious in your history.

Do you have a criminal record? Convictions for driving under the influence? Association with terrorist organizations? Connections to fascist or communist governments? There is also a list of questions that I would look at that’s on the US Citizenship questionnaire. If you have a dubious history, then that’s something to be concerned about. Otherwise, if you want to live and work in the US, you can expect to turn over your fingerprints and your history to your employer and be subjected to background checks.
