Flying school in California advice

Hi I want to start pilot training for PPL then CPL & need advice on which flight school to go to in California would be the best and how to start .. I live near Fullerton in Orange County..and found a school called AFI flight training center at Fullerton airport.. anyone recommend this one ? Any advice about other schools?!!

I had a short stint at AFI and it seemed like a decent operation. I did the majority of my training at LGB and would recommend Angel City and Aces High out of there. I've also heard good things about the schools in SNA. Good luck.
