Hacking short term non-owner renter insurance
Hello folks
There's a particular place where I wish to rent a light single, 2-4 time a year, where there's no proper insurance that covers the renter (e.g. there's no subrogation waiver in the owner's insurance policy).
From a purely financial perspective, it makes sense for me to buy each time a policy by e.g. Avemco, and then cancel it after the few days of rental for a 90% refund, rather than holding on to the policy for the whole year.
However, would an insurance company likely ban me if I keep buying and canceling an annual policy, up to 4 times per year? Alternatively, what would you recommend for cost-efficient short term insurance for such 2-4 multi-day rentals per year?
Thanks!
