Reaching 1500 hours

Hello guys. To be eligible for airlines we know we need 1500 hours total time. Now my question is, I'm flying for a couple of months with a SEP in Europe. These hours will be valid for the 1500? Thanks

The short answer is 'yes'. The longer answer is that you need an *ATP*-MEL for the airlines. The US now has a couple of flavours of ATP, one of which is the original 1500hr TT minimum (plus various sub-categories of experience) 'full' ATP, and some restricted ATPs with reduced hour requirements (but other requirements instead). You need to meet all the requirements of whatever ATP you wish to get. If the 'full' ATP-MEL then check the FARs for the complete breakdown of required experience, one of which is 1500 hrs TT which includes any single engine time you may have. It doesn't matter whether that SE experience is piston or TP.
