Bought a Plane in Quebec.. Flying back to Vancouver through USA

As the subject reads. I bought a 172M in the very north of quebec. Great, right? Sure, if i lived east..

So, a friend and I are going to soar across Canada and the US back to Vancouver (maybe through Seattle) over a span of 7 days. Only going to fly during the day, even with night rating, it will be pitch black over some regions, so we've decided to stay day VFR. We're already planning our mountain routes.

We will probably slip into the states around niagara falls and we are looking for suggestions on great FBO's or other insight into this trip we're planning across the northern US. Any suggestions would be great. We will take the northern states, but may slip down to Northern California, depending on weather, toward the end of the trans-continental experience. We are going to stay away from the desert and watch the weather closely.

Thanks,

M
