FAR 121 ops SIC recurrent training- Question

hi all,

i am flying for an operator in Asia using my faa atp. according to the local civil aviation regulations, part 121 operators are required to give OPC every 6 months.

Question: can i substitute the OPC to meet FAR 121.433 section C requirements for SIC ? in other words, while doing the recurrent training prescribed under 121.433 section C, is the presence of faa approved check airman mandatory ?

thanks

If you're not flying for a US certificated Air Carrier under Part 121, then none of the US Part 121 regulations apply to you.

Since it appears you are flying for an Asian carrier, you need to abide by their training and checking regulations.

I agree, I'm not sure why the OP is even concerned about it.
