Alaskan/Virgin America merger

Is Alaskan planning to merge operating certificates if/when the Virgin America takeover goes ahead?

What happens to the virgin America management? VP flight ops etc?

Seems a shame to lose the virgin America product, they are a good airline to fly on as a passenger, though I have never flown Alaskan so can't compare

The plan is to have a single AOC by 2018. The Virgin America brand will survive at least initially but may be phased out as time goes on.

Virgin America previously announced a number of management layoffs starting next month, for positions with "duplicate roles" between Alaska and Virgin America.
