Point of fact - while simulators are chock-full of programming code regarding motion and flight characteristics - none of that software comes from an aircraft manufacturer. The aircraft manufacturer provides (for a fee with a legal agreement) only the data sets gleaned from actual aircraft operation. It is up to the simulator guys to recreate such data points with fidelity through programming.

Under Part 60, the devices must accurately reflect flight-test data up to the stick-shaker stall warning and aerodynamic buffet in a wings-level attitude
This will be new ground for Airbus, from a flight operations point of view, and a new way of thinking about their aeroplane and its ingenious FBW system. I think it is a healthy step forward for all involved.
