Piper crash Spokane

Dont know how many of you folks picked up on the Piper Malibu crash shortly after T/O from Spokane, Wash,{C-GVWZ} but the young lady reporter for the TV station reported that the spilled "DISEL FUEL" had to be cleaned up, sounds like another miss fuel,{ my VW TDI runs just fine on Jet A , which to the untrained smells, and looks just like Diesel} twice in the last year two FBOs have tried to put the wrong stuff in our twin. I thought the modifed nozells were suposed to prevent this if indeed it was a miss fuel.

or some tv reporters are just ignorant of what type of fuel goes in an airplane.

I gather it was the envipomental clean up folks who identified the type of fuel they had to clean up, this doesnt make it gospel but they should know what they are dealing with one hopes.Very sad outcome regardless of the cause.

Sadly, latest reports say the pilot has passed away, 2 days after being pulled out of the wreckage.
RIP.
