SFO Airport Category (UK query)
I asked in the cess pit that R&N has become but the post was immersed in the muck that flies around there. Perhaps in the sanity of Tech Log I might get an answer.
The question was, for UK airlines, what Airport category is SFO in your operation - A,B or C? Do you now think the Categorisation is correct?

Thanks Denti - in view of the 'revelations' of this particular (28L) visual (sans GP), do you think that is adequate or should a special briefing be issued ie CAT B or even C?

For the life of me I just cant see why KSFO would require any special training, {must have over a thousand landings there} yes it has high ground surounding one direction, but so do thousands of other airports, the fact that Asiana bent one there {also JAL DC8 many years back} has nothing to do with the airport, the real cause of this crash is bloody obvious to any of us who have tried to deal with these clowns, its time to call a spade a bloody shovel when it comes to certain outfits!
