B190 Type ratings...
hello, just new to PPrune, does anyone know where in the USA one can get a 2-3 day type rating on the 1900 D? I have over 1000 hrs PIC on the aircraft, just wanted to get the rating on my US atpl. I also have the required TSA ID training approval, I just don't want to pay US $ 6500 for a 2 week total new type traing etc. I also have the Aussie atpl with the 1900 on it.

If you plan to work here you should set your heights higher than a 1900. Regionals are hiring low time CFI's into the right seat of RJ's. Pathetic really.
I don't understand all the interest in type ratings. Your employer should be picking up the tab for those.

Ditto what noflow has said. Besides, is it worth paying any amount of cash for a type rating on a type where starting pay is as low as $13,500/ yr?
This link may be of interest if your ego can be satisfied by just getting the SIC Type Rating on your US ATP. The best part is, it's free.
