Hi guys.... Is it true or just another bluff that Air Baltic may be considering A320's incorporation to their fleet at the end of the year? Just kinda curious.

Thanks in advance.

cmcjma 19th Jul 2010 15:04

New order

If you google, you will find news stating the company is assessing new aircrafts.
The order may be A320 or B738. The decision will be taken next October.
Meanwhile, Airbus and Boeing are closely courting BT.
Be careful, just a news. No final order yet.

kibladen 21st Jul 2010 10:27

I've heard they offered TR in their own training centre.
Any comments? Anybody done?

Take off 21st Jul 2010 19:33

Anybody recently received a job offer? If yes, how long did it take between your assessment and the offer?

I'm just trying to get an idea of the current time required for the whole application process..

Regards

Anyone else applied for the Q400 DEC position? Heard anything?

ruli 22nd Jul 2010 20:03

Hi Guys¡¡

I applied 4 days ago to Dash DEC position and got today invitation for assesment in Riga next 28th July. Is anybody in same case?
Joserosell, I also live in Madrid, maybe get in contact???

tracker999 23rd Jul 2010 15:11

hey Ruly, check your PM.

TuckUnder77 23rd Jul 2010 21:46

If you can swim and use an inflatable lifevest, and even better - swim with the lifevest - then you'll be fine. Mind the water in the swimming pool might be a bit chilly, but at least you'll have a refreshing morning swim. Good luck!

pipistrelle 25th Jul 2010 09:59

Q400 commands

I recently applied to AB, I have 3000hrs on Q400 and another 6000hrs on assorted large turbo-prop aircraft plus some jet time, got standard automated reply and since then nothing.

An2 25th Jul 2010 15:09

pipistrelle,
I think they don't want people with your kind massive experience.
They know full and well, that the T&C's they're offering is nothing to endure over a longer period of time. Hence, they know you'd be leaving at the first opportunity you'd get.
Given your experience, that could happen just about any day now..... :ok:

They want people that they know they've got "by the b*lls", so to speak.:ouch:

Commander-, or F/O-newbie, eager to build up a good deal of hours, before moving on to pastures green(-er).

mikehammer 26th Jul 2010 16:11

Is this information about rosters from PPJN:

None, often only 1 day off between w.days, 3 days off in row one time/month (not always planned)
current and up to date?

K2z 26th Jul 2010 22:03

Hi everyone!

May be some of you knows about AB cadet school? What is required, and so on. Because I have passed assesment tests at FTE Jerez, and now I'm searching how to get further, because education there is a bit expensive (95k eur) to pay for it, as I live in Latvia, I would like to work on AB, so now try'n to collect information about their cadet school. May be some of you was participated, or just know something about it.

It would be very kind if you reply, thanks in advance!

cmcjma 28th Jul 2010 03:30

they have specific expectations

The profile of the hired people are mainly low experience pilots.
They do not hire direct entry captain. They just want low profile pilot. They have the captains. They need the FOs.

Air Baltic Interview

Hi all

I got an invite to Air Baltic today for sim session next week. I have 2600 hours, 2200 multi PIC, 600 King Air 200.

What I dont know is wether Im being invited for Q400 or A320 interview as I know they are upgrading fleet and according to PCC website only have 1 Q400.

Is anybody in the same boat as me and a bit unsure of what is going on. I have just been told to report for interview and sim session.

Don K 28th Jul 2010 22:55

Guess there is at least one more Q400 on its way, saw a AB Q400 on C- register in Bergen today! Good luck...

Terms and Conditions at AB

Hello @all,

I am new to this forum and need some information concerning AB.

I have received an invitation for next week, applying for a DEC on the Dash, for the time I am rated on a Turboprop over 20t with total more than 5000 hours, 3000 PIC.

Anyone working for AB here?

Do they offer part time jobs?

Still problems with duty plans known as written here before?

Thank you for your help.

More information

Hi Guys

Don't want people to repeat themselves, I know there is a lot of information on this thread but.....

Does anybody have more info on the questions asked in the technical interview - the B737 and also the general ATPL questions?

Any heads-up would be much appreciated

EA_cabincrew 1st Aug 2010 22:46

Hello all,

Sorry for interrupting the pilots thread, but.. does anyone have any information concerning the hiring of CABIN CREW with base in Tallinn?? Any info highly appreciated!

cawka 2nd Aug 2010 15:28

@EA_cabincrew

I believe you will be able to get all the information you need during a presentation on 18th of August - Cabin Attendant Estonia Campaign

EA_cabincrew 3rd Aug 2010 07:46

cawka
Thank you, the ad about estonian campaign appeared exactly the day after I asked about it here - great coincidence!

jetfly 4th Aug 2010 12:01

I finally received an invitation to the AB assessment which feels great.

I wonder if anyone who has gone through it recently to what depth the questions go to for the 737? An example maybe?

Is there anyone else going to Riga next wednesday?

Crash.Piloto 4th Aug 2010 16:42

Can I ask you about your experience and how long have you been waiting for the sim invitation???

Good Luck!!!!

raymond duck 6th Aug 2010 09:38

Jetfly, do I know you from Istanbul? I think you owe me some beers..
PM me I might have some information for you.

goaroundnow 13th Aug 2010 07:31

Hi

Has anybody who attended selection on 10th August heard anything yet?

Is it true to say that if you do not hear back quickly from airBaltic then it is not normally good news?

Cheers

elpipe83 13th Aug 2010 08:00

Hi everyone,

I am attending the selection process next monday and they sent me an e-mail with all the information about the selection process within two days after I submitted my application form.

Has anyone been to Riga recently and tell us about his/her experiences there?

Thanks a lot.

No_Speed_Restriction 17th Aug 2010 06:55

Has no one been to the assessment day yet?

yellow Baron 18th Aug 2010 09:54

Any one going to the company course on the 24?
it look's like it as been cancel.
any new's?

Cloud Buster 18th Aug 2010 09:59

That seems to be the case indeed.. no further information about why..
Only rumor is they are still recruiting for the Q400 (experienced pilots only)

drag king 18th Aug 2010 12:02

Hello folks!

Anyone here that has recently tried to update his/her profile on Air Baltic's website and apply for a job? I am an experienced TP (not DHC or F50 though) FO and I had my application rejected a while ago, perhaps more than 6 months now. However a friend has recently been invited for an interview at the end of Aug, after firing just 1 shot at them. I have therefore tried to upload a recent CV but all I can manage to do is to click on "APPLY FOR THIS POSITION" and then check its status listed as "PENDING", no email no feedback at all.

Website glitch or what else? Anyone with similar problems?

Best luck to everyone.

DK ;)

EA_cabincrew 26th Aug 2010 13:43
