A tiny problem...

30K of your own money that you would have spent on a type rating
Compared to buying a rating this is not a bad idea, especially for most people who otherwise needs to get a bank loan for it. Only problem here is that you need to have the rating too!! :ugh:

Hate to bring it up, but if no one would buy their rating in the first place, aviation would most likely be a lot sounder workplace at the moment, but I don´t want to bring that discussion to this thread!!

1st First Officer 11th Mar 2010 20:42

Got an "offer"

Yeah.

I got an offer to start as a First Officer on the Q400 a couple of weeks ago. However, due to an out-of-this-planet-bond, I decided to reject the offer. It's not worth it, at least not to that kind of salory. There will be plenty of other fishes in the sea this spring..

Good luck to you all.

I guess you believe in fairy tales as well?

Damianik 16th Mar 2010 15:31

Funny enought i sent my cv and updated it quite recently with more hours, i am B737 current with more than 2000 hours on type plu 1000 hours on something else, and no answer whatsoever...

any reason anyone?

Or it is common due to the long list of candidates?

D

blusky75 16th Mar 2010 15:36

I received the mail from HR to send to them all the documents to be called for the interview...I did few weeks ago the application..I have ATPL , rated on 737 but with no hours on it...no big experience..1500 TT...

Hey guys,

I am new here. Great to see so many Nationalities on this site, sharing information :ok:

Would like to know, what your experience is with Air Baltic.
I applied and 3 weeks later the bal started rolling. They wanted to know when I would be available, and they gave me info concerning the tests etc. Send them all the other info such as, license, medical, logbook copies, and then nothing!!
I am suposed to go next week, but have no details concerning flight etc.
Is this normal? Anybody have the same experience?

Hello to all!

Has anyone that did the selection for F50 or Dash8 received any news??
I did it more than one month ago but still no news...

Eurocargo 1st Apr 2010 14:04

Hello to everyone!

It's possible that still no one has received any information about the selection process?

KiloN 2nd Apr 2010 09:15

Hi, I have an assesment on 7th April and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the kind of questions they are asking in the written tests/quizes? It would certainly help with the revision. As a turboprop pilot I guess I'll be asked questions relating to turboprops?
Thanks in advance.
No, ATPL quiz is mostly jet aircraft questions in at least performance wise, some questions about weather, also little bit systems in overall not too complicated. Good Luck!

B757 SIM Screening

Hi highflyer757,

thanks for the helpful information. Could you please give some more details on the SIM-Screening:

- Am I right it will be a B757 SIM and you were flying in in Minsk?
- Did you have to do the preparation (items) or were you immediatly placed ont he RWY?
- You said you have been given radar vectors. What yould you select on your HSI? Could you select the MAP-Mode?
- Did you enter Data into the FMS and was the Flight director useable?
- Could you use the autopilot for the Eng FAilure?

Thank you very much for your help.
