I know some airlines coming from your country especially that upgrade f/o after 1500 hours of flying,when they get an unfrozen atpl they are upgraded,so dont tell about our standards.I said "if they think you are ready",this means that even if a guy has 6000 hours 737 and he is not ready for a left seat,he will not get it.

If you are not ready to move over to the left seat after 6000 h then you'll never be ready! Talk about being in the wrong business. :hmm: I mean talk about slow learners...

I'd rather fly with a brand new cpt with 1500 h on the a/c than with one that finally after 6000 h is considered to be ready.

Bleedair...Just remember that usually it's the system that is slow, and not the candidate.

False assumptions...

Geez Dimitrispa31,

First, about 10 posts ago you assumed I was a fresh ATP with only cessna time and no captain experience.... Then 4 posts ago you assume I insulted your Greec standards and started insulting the French standards as if I have anything to do with those ! :rolleyes: I have never even flown in France ! Are you this way in the cockpit too ? It must be horrible flying with you. Perhaps you are one of those 6000+ hour F/O's we're just talking about ? :} And wondering why ? :} And impressed at the high standards ! :}

My original question, which is not relevant anymore had nothing to do with one's abilities. It was a purely a contractual one.

Sure thing Jockey but we're not talking Scandinavian or KLM here. If you turned up for a flight at your company and met the 6000 h F/O that just became CPT, would you not keep an extra eye on his flying?
