Question Finnair Purchases Nordic Airlink

Finnair has decided to purchase 85% of Nordic Airlink. This is their shot to compete on the low fares front as well as on the IT market more effectively.

Hyva juttu Nordic Airlinkin tyontekijoille. Rahaa tulee taloon kunnolla. Saadan varmaan nahda naita koneita HEL-IVL ja muilla pohjoisen reiteilla talvella?

Joopa joo

monopoli

Hassuinta musta tässä on tiedottaminen finnairin omilla nettisivuilla jossa Arle toteaa Pohjoisilla reiteillä vallitsevan monopolin jota uusi yhtiö tulee murtamaan ja tarjoamaan edullisa lentoja ??????????? Joku saa selittää mulle. tai Arlelle.

lainaus finskin nettisivuilta:

Hyvä juttu silti, taas vauhtia pohjolan ilmailuun.

Does any Finnair guys have any info (in english) about the outlook for their own jobs now that Finnair is gonna give their domestic routes to Aero, while Nordic Airlink probably will eat into your intra-Nordic routes?
Just interesting to hear your views, since our boss at SAS is busy outsourcing our jobs here at SK...
At least it seems like the management at Finnair are honest enough to tell the real story, too bad I can't say the same about mr. Lindegaard....

Wink In english...

Since I have no inside information but like I wrote earlier...

It's funny how things develope. SAS did same kinda thing in Finland years ago when it bought small finnish carrier Air Botnia, which now is quite big player... now finnair is doing the same or so I think they will.
Maybe all finnair pilots are happy if they were said that new "finnair express" will operate in Sweden, I don't know. Maybe it is also so that pilots in those big carriers should have co-operated better with small ones... only then we could have mutually good agreenments and future for everybody. Now it seems that outsourcing won't stop untill all salaries are lowered to the level of these new firms.
