Even we are not really part of Scandinavia, we are Nordic in the same way as Iceland is. Yes our language is very different. Actually I have been told that it is "a weird sequence of sounds and growls that seem to follow each other in no particular order".

Talking Finnish

Techman and Knold.

I laughed my with water in my eyes when I read your posts. Techman I can see how you learned to order those 2 beers but how Knold ever learend to say " A lot of snow, but no flashlight" just beats me...

I remeber another one from my Swedish lessons... We had to make a demonstration in Swedish so we pulled a stove unit into the classroom with a kettle water and 1 egg. Our demonstration went a bit this way. " Den här är en egg och vi ska kokka den". Needless to say our teacher was not impressed.

Knol / JJ

Thanks to your combined efforts I'm now the proud owner of the coolest signature on the net!

In between laughing for the last 10 minutes I've tried to figure out if it gives any meaning. I'm satisfied that it doesn't.

Ojojoj!

La oss stå på krava: No moderator unless we have a vote

Cool

Well I think we had it coming...

Personally I would see it as quite a treat if Snorre Sturlarsson would be teh proud winner but it might be a bit tricky finding him...

Guess I am I can not participate in this competition as I would have a distinct advantage... Could use the toaster though. Mine had a flameout. I had to do the Multplie engine shutdown restart checklist.. Things where getting hot.

Actually Knold.. Where do you pull these... these things from ???

It started when I was looking for the correct spelling of the "A lot of snow but no flashlight". I found a pretty fun list that some college student had done.

There is more......

Actually it's really good that you're not participating because than you can help me correct the answers.

TD,

You bet your sweet a.........that somebody has been messing with your poll. Face it, somebody does not like us vikings doing things in a democratic manner It`s ok that there are some 50000 ppruners, but not even that is enough to give good old Snorre that many votes. He would have deserved it, but.......

Danny,

Eirik of Pomerania???? Give us a break. Eirik den Hardbalne, det var kar det. Be happy you did`nt meet him when he visited you islanders a few years ago
