ICON A5

Hi folks!

OK, so I put a deposit down a few years ago on an Icon A5 amphibian. ICON Aircraft | Sport Flying Revolution. I want to bring it (whenever it's finally built) to Norway (Hardangerfjord area) where I live. It's an LSA in the USA, of course, and I know EASA just recently enacted similar regs.

I've flown a lot in the US (Commercial/Inst/CFII/etc), but must confess ignorance of airspace regs/procedures in Norway, especially concerning a US "N" registered LSA (if that's even possible).

I'd also like to know more about Norwegian regs when it comes to operations on lakes re: "ferdsel med motorisert fartøy i utmark".

If anyone can point me in the right direction, there's a future trip over the Følgefonn in it for you.

MVH,

Tom

Thanks very much for those links, Wesker. Great, useful stuff there.

Anyone know by chance typical restrictions for landing on certain inland lakes under "ferdsel med motorisert fartøy i utmark" type laws. As I understand it, many - but not all - are off limits.

Cheers,

Tom

not sure about Norway but in Sweden you need the land owner's permission and is best obtained with a fax or e-mail. NOT telephone.
