150 + Boeing guys on the street in the UK. XL airways went into administration late last night. In my opinion there are more to come too... Being rating good? Only if you are up for a couple of years in Asia....

Good luck to all!

He was asking about Norwegian.se(former FlyNordic), that's a different company from Norwegian in Norway... different AOCs from what I've understood....and they do have MD80s.

Well if one was into conspiricy theories one could observe Sterling picked up the Swedish routes from Norwegian, and coincidently, Sterling gave up the Oslo routes which Norwegian seemed well positioned to snap up. Both got surprise visits from inspectors last week, and the word monopoly was bandied around a bit. However the catchcry "codesharing" effectively seems to mean route swapping these days. Just a suspicion...

it was my understanding from norwegian newspapers and websites that this was an agreement from both companies and that the authorities was invited on a formal meeting. Do not know the result

From the papers it seems the companies contacted the department to make sure that things are legal. Funny thing is that they contacted them AFTER the fact. Guess the results are pending, as there is probably a lot of paperwork to be read, and many things to be factored in.
