Svalbard is a bir special, to say the least. Basic equippment is a multi engine aircraft, ditching equippment, a weapon suitable to shoot a polar bear, and enough fuel to return to Tromsø, with engine failure.

What do you want to know?
It is an awful place, far from any alternate. If you have to go, then go. But get out of there as soon as you can!
What equipment are you operating?

To put it in another way, it is a special place, for special kinds of people..
The local operators are more laid-back and casual than operators at other places, I believe.
I think it's a nice place, but only been there on holiday, never been there for a long time.
Anyways, if you like 4 months of sunlight, and snow, you'll have a great time!
As wll, you do not pay the normal Norwegian tax there
