Why are you wondering? Are they hiring?

I have dealt with them back and forth for the last 7 years and they have a tendency to change their mind a lot. They say they will do one thing and then end up doing something completely different. Last time that happend was a year ago.

I would be very pleased as well, if somebody could share some information on TUIfly Nordic!

Anybody in here based in Helsinki? What are the chances of getting a base move to ARN after a few years? I've heard rumours that they will open a base in CPH, is that true?

Thank you

Wow...flashback!!

TuiFly Nordic made this exact claim a year and a half ago just to conveniently pull it back and use a Corsair B747 instead. All the pilots that were hired had to go to the UK. Not bad unless you wanted to stay in the North.

The Prince will be nice and give some answers.

Starting salary is about 24.500SEK and there are a few fixed extras on that which will make the salary just over 30.000SEK. If you get a OSL or HEL base then you get an extra 5.000SEK per month.

But….. As the old Bengt Engel said, the big leap in salary has changed and will kick in between year 8 and 9. Sad for new guys as this used to be between year 4 and 5.

With this recent recruitment the chaps at BLX seems happy and are great to fly with.

A very good company to work for if you wanna stay in the north!

So when did TUI Nordic hire pilots last time? How many pilots on seniority list? As Catans said they did have some interviews year a go but as I understand nobody was selected. I would imagine that if someone was selected a year ago (s)he would be offered a position now? TUI is going to be first Scandinavian airline operate B787! Nice

Actually, a few guys were hired last year but none in the North. They were all offered jobs in Britain.

It's true that most of them got offered a job with Thomson but during this year almost all (if not all of them) got a job at BLX. During 2007 13 or 14 of them is now employed by BLX. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Catans...

Currently 123 pilots on the list.

Best way to find out is to send in your application!
I heard a rumour that TUIFly pilots (union) has a deal with the company about Corsair`s B747… Agreement is that if Corsair continues to fly ARN via HEL to PHK, TUIFly Nordic Pilots are going to have a change to bid on F/O position on those B747 flights.. Can any one confirm this?

I don't know about the 744 requirement but certainly this winter will see their fleet increase in size as Tomson send 2 767 to operate with them. Only 1 will return to rejoin the British fleet with the other remaining on the Swedish register.

Tomson will retire 4 x 757 during the next year these will be fitted with winglets and be trasnferred to operate with TFly Nordic. The 757 operates the Canaries, Dubai and Natal.

Before the latest batch of recruitment the airline only had 1 HEL based pilot. I would assume any transfer to ARN will depend on continued expansion and recruitment to "push" you up the list.

first year, not years.

If you want to work in OSL or HEL, I dont think that should be a problem...
