AAI
Yes Jerry indeed is with some other agencies.
I'd be very cautious. Atlanta has lost over 80 people in the last 6 months or so from their pilot core alone. Not a good sign I recon. However if you really want to join, here's the email for Airborne and one for Jerry,
[email protected] and [email protected]
All the best

Agree with AD.
Loads of people have gone back to their old turbo-prop jobs coz Air Atlanta is not very flexible if you have a family.
Make sure your single and no family if you sign! (i'm not )

AAIGUY,
No offense, but....
I seriously doubt you have been working the dishes at a mexican canteen.
At least not lately.
Hence, your recommendation is to be taken lightly, I feel.
...am I right, or am I right!?

Having had the displeasure of working for AAI for close to 3 years..I would rather work in a Mexican cantena. All the free tequilla you can drink and a shot at screwing the owners hot daughter.
All AAI will do is 1) Screw you 2)Screw your wife-family-children (insert appropriate). There is 0 loyatly to nonfishhead staff.
Granted, there are some OUTSTANDING Icelandics both flying and trying to help in operations. I can think of a few now I would give the shirt off my back for. But in the end they can't help you that much and you will be f'8cked in the A.

With all due respect. You have no idea what the deal is with Air Atlanta, unless you have worked there.
For many of those never having flown the 747 it is a "Holy cow" and supposedly there is something glamorous in flying it. Thats not the case though. At the end of the day it is all about lifestyle, quality of life and money. Areas where Air Atlanta, nicely said, does not excel.
But then again it is relatively free world and you are free to do what y feel like doing. Good luck in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. People tell me it's a blast there.
As for the interview. Basic tech questions and as short as they are now, chances of failing are quite remote. There are several interview guides available with sample questions and answers as well as books on sim profiles. Suggest you look at those and find some general info about the company on their website.

If you are single with no kids, have a desire for some of the more exotic destinations of the world, don't mind getting the high-hard one while you're not looking then by all means send in your CV. But don't complain when you don't get home for months (yes, months) at a time. Also par for the course at Air Atlanta is being told your base is changed and you have only a couple of days to tie up your affairs and pack your bags to move, not stopping at home on the way of course. Oh yes, since you've packed for months on the road you need to either pay for the extra baggage you'll be charged by whatever airline they buy tickets on or leave your stuff behind. Air Atlanta does not pay for extra baggage for it's crewmembers.
Unless you're hired as a Captain, forget about upgrading. They hold that over your head so you stick around. Some of the Captains who you'll fly with don't belong in the cockpit - period. It's a horrible place to work. In the world of Crew Leasing/Contract flying it is all the way at the bottom. Take the job at your own risk.

hello
i really support and understand the opinion on Pilots here which fly for Air Atlanta.
for myself i really think i want to continue this lifestyle(Cargo) for a little while ...
If theres any chance someone can give details what to expect for the Selektion?
Tests?Sim?
etc.
Any answer really appreciated...by the way ..in my short aviation career always find something wrong with the curent employer ,but i guess thats just the game we have to play...
I would be very interested joining the Freight Dogs of Air Atlanta and hope the "older" guys can undrstand my excitement ..
Greetings Cheers
