WTF?
"Well, here at the airport the shelling is pretty bad",
or
"the general feeling here in beirut is that this war f&%/ing sucks"
I don't suppose all the viewers of the BBC live in Beirut or at its airport either?
try this...

(Or maybe you were just trying to say that TRF was a poor reference to Torp airport.... )

If i wanted to say that sort of thing i would have been more direct and write that TRF is a dam poor reference to Torp! But as is not like that i didn't wrote that or mean that.. I was guessing that TRF was the abreviation for Torp and i'm sure that many others will not have a damn idea what TRF stands for airport when they read it..like if everyone had the time to learn all the abreviations on the airports at scandinavia..

like if maybe he was like trying to narrow in on his potential audience so that those who like surf the nordic pages or whatever and who also might have some info on this new cool base there might already be like familar with the term TRF, and maybe he just didn't see it coming that some dude fellow would be all mad and stuff because he didn't understand the IATA reference.
I dunno.....

I was sitting at the airport when I wrote the post; hence the [poor] choice of words. Sorry.

Any Norwegian air pilots on this forum that would consider joining Ryanair if they opened a crew base in Norway?

ENTO = Sandefjord, Torp.
Thought you pilots knew that, you sound like a bunch of travel agents in the toilet.
Rumour has it RyanAir will be increasing up to ca. 20 movements from ENTO, as soon as the new taxiway is open and the airport can cope with the new workload.....Its gonna be a shock for the poor ATC guys working there, they seem to be super stressed with the work load that they have already. It is no more akin, traffic wise, a medium GA airfield in the UK.

Jess, skjoenner.

Calm down girls, calm down
Now.
This is a fairly hot rumour going around the company. I keep hearing it from many different sources, very much like the way the rumours of a Marseille base was doing the rounds, which turned out to be true.
As for the ATC, I would agree, they seem to be under the impression that TRF/ENTO/TORP is London Heathrow sometimes. I taxied in on TWR Freq, did the turnaround. No one around, tumbleweeds blowing accross the field.
Me: Tower Hi again, Ryanair 69 Stand 4, request Push and Start"
Twr: Contact Ground please.
Me: Gnd, Push and start please
Gnd: (same Guy
) Ok push and start approved, contact tower now........

Heard something about a new airspace in Norway called Oslo ASAP. Rumours says that Farris and Oslo will merge and all procedures will be revised. Transitions will also be made at ENGM to help the pour atc's at director.
Anyone with more information?
