Jetssky! (or Not Yet sky)

Dear Pointer!

I´ll rest my case from here, lean back, wait and see.
And of course read the papers!
Danish newspaper Jyllandsposten has an article today 20/1 2004.

A brief extract:

HOLA Airlines: - No contract or financial guarantees with Jetssky
BLL Airport: - No Contract or financial guarantees with
Jetssky or Hola Airlins
Danish CAA: Has nothing at all

Alright to be fare: There is 11 Days to go!

Please try to refrain from personal attacks, all of you (us), or Flaps40 will punish us!

This is an official statement from BLL airport, dosn't look too positive: BLL airport statement

Too bad, it would have been great with more action in jutland.
I know that when opening a new LC route, the route does not only take pax from other airlines, they generate a lot of new passengers by themselves, but honestly: Would Billund be able to fill a 737 once a day to ARN and OSL? Mabye the next operator should try with lighter equipment.

PS.: I don't think that Jetssky will make it, at least on time. But look at all their free publicity! Ryanair thrives on publicity, even the bad one.

Very well, news from the airport is not the same as from the boulevard press.

I am not against facts, but against wild allegations from un-informed sources. So no offense intended!

Lets stick to the news and hope we can look forward to a new company

Not that I agree with this but ths an press relaes on th Jetssky website after negative publisity in th dutch press:

PRESS RELEASE JANUARY 12, 2004

In response to the extended (partially) negative media attention that jetsSky.com suddenly and without previous announcement has received. We announce the following;

- JetsSky flies from the 1st of February 2004 from Amsterdam but does not depend on only this Dutch airport.

- JetsSky is not a new Dutch airline and has never profiled itself as such. Just like Easyjet did in it’s starting years in the period of 1995 till 1997, jetsSky uses the on the ACMI + Eurocontrol based principle to lease aircraft and crew. In this way jetsSky can keep her costs very low and gives the management the opportunity to concentrate on putting it’s product on the market. A request for a Dutch AOC is not being considered.

- JetsSky has signed contracts with airlines (hola) that will operate from Amsterdam and Billund. Copies of such contracts will be available for viewing by the Press at the central office of jetsSky in Dordrecht.

- Different from the Easyjet approach jetsSky does have the intention to exploit a (Danish) airline in its first year (2004) of operation. This airline will be established in Billund and will be called JetsSky Airlines A/S. But even then jetsSky (Holland) will apart from using aircraft from jetsSky Airlines (Denmark) continue to lease-in aircraft on an ACMI + Eurocontrol basis, because this enhances our flexibility. In Denmark the company jetsSky Airlines A/S is being created with the sole purpose of achieving an own Danish AOC within a period of 2 or 3 months. Since the 1st of December 2003 a full management team has been employed in order to establish jetsSky Airlines A/S.

- The airlines contracted by jetsSky to operate on its behalf do have a contractual duty, based on the IATA regulations, to transport passengers form A to B. This regulation is created by IATA just to protect the passengers in general buying tickets in advance of any flights. All routes operated by jetsSky are in detail being mentioned in jetsSky`s contracts.

- All of the required slot times for Amsterdam (Schiphol) Airport has been acknowledged to jetsSky for all our flights as they are mentioned in our flight schedules. We are also negotiating with handling companies established at Schiphol about our fees, baggage handling and certain warranties. A copy of acknowledges slots and other documents will be available for viewing by the press at the jetsSky office located in Dordrecht.

You can buy tickets to the price of €70,27 for a return BLL - ARN departing monday the 2th of feb. at 10:20 returning in BLL at 13:50. However at BLL website they are not listed as either departing or arriving on monday... Only 5 days to go, wonder if they can make it.

Best regard

The Norwegian Consumer Protection Agency is again warning their consumer not to purchase tickets from jetsSky.

If you already have and have requested a refund but not yet had your money back, they advise submitting a formal complaint with them.

A lawsuit could be next.

Angel

Og nu starter Basiq Air med at flyve mellem Rotterdam og København.

Jeg tvivler på at vi nogensinde for Jetssky at se igen.

Thumbs down Jetssky managers walk

Looks like the personel have not been payed and so they walked, no future in this and looks like H. van Achteren made some nice bucks (and a few victims?)
