JAR fATPL CPL/IR in Iceland?

JAR fATPL CPL/IR in Iceland?

Hi all,know of anyone/ is it possible to do the JAR CPL/IR flight training modules in Iceland, having done UK CAA PPL & the JAR ATPL writtens in the U.K? What with red tape etc..'JAR's JAR right???Asked the relevent authority's but no reply yet.

I suggest you contact the Icelandic CAA www.caa.is and ask them if they will accept your UK-JAR ATPL written and issue you a Icelandic JAA license after completing flight training and checks in Iceland.

Just give them a call at +354 569 4100.

I believe that in the early JAR's you were supposed to do the theory and practical training under same licensing authority but I think that has now been changed.
