As a general question I guess, do most aircrew get their logbooks bound?

As for 'historical' stuff, yes why not? Aren't logbooks just a way to get a job?

On that score however, some chaps that used to work for MyTravel et al seemed to have had them countersigned by a Mr HC Andersen ISBN 0713996412 (but that's another story in itself).

I know I've already asked but I thought I'd give it one more go.

Does anyone have any of the older blank RAF Pilots Flying Log Books? The top right hand corner of the front cover will just have "RAF Form 414" written on it. Although it was revised in 1998 and again in 2000 I'm after the original one.

I'll happily make a suitable contribution to a charity of your choosing and of course cover postage costs.

I've tried all sorts of places around the RAF but to no avail.

Off thread slightly, but I can't resist it ......

I picked up a used, very old RAF Form 414 on ebay a little while back. Why would I do that? Because it belonged to a USAF exchange pilot doing the ETPS course in 1964. That on its own is not special, but the fact that said Captain Al Worden went on to be the Command Module Pilot for the Apollo 15 moon mission probably is ..... if that sort of thing interests you, lol!
