There is of course, a former member of the 216 Comet Club still serving at Lyneham, though I doubt 'Saggy' will be able to attend without the help of crash and smash and a couple of low loaders!

(Comet C2 XK699. Served on 216 from 22 Feb 57 to 16 Jun 67, stored at Henlow then returned to Lyneham by road as a Gate Guardian)

Hi, I beleive from Roz the comet members have previously visited the aircraft and enjoyed there visit.

Sorry to intrude but my first ever flight in an airliner, at the tender age of 3, was an RAF Comet to RAF El Adam in Africa, via Malta in 1961. Back again in 1964. Happy days!:)
