Those buildings look very pretty - but are they drone proof, or cruise missile proof, or even bomb proof?

I can only assume that hidden all around them to protect them - but which we cannot see - are many air defence systems to counter any drones or cruise missiles or bomb-carriers which might be sent to cause damage.

Surely Ukraine must have taught us something??????

Ah but we're an "expeditionary" force these days. We don't fight our wars from fortified bastions in the UK any more.....

...or was that so last decade?

My last job 'somewhere in wiltshire' I started off in a WW1 Twin GS Shed - then we were moved to a WW2 'C' type Hangar (which still had a little bit of structural damage visible from being hit by a B24) - then we were moved into a large modern hangar (so large I used to get slight agoraphobia just walking into it) which had lots of windows but no insulation so we froze in the winter and baked in the summer - I was more used to smaller dingy hangars :)
