Ahh the big things that are in a big wide empty ocean and easily detected from space? They might be able to move, but they're pretty hard to hide!

Using $1M NSAM rounds against $10K drones isn’t a long term solution.

The US is rolling out laser equipped Strykers and other defences, it will take time to see which is most cost effective and capable.

The equation is not the relative worth of two systems but rather the worth of the countermeasure against the value of the target it is defending.

That works if you have enough defensive missiles to keep protecting the target, but if they can mass produce the $10K drones and send 30-60 a day you run out and the expensive target is destroyed anyway.

and a lot of targets, like electricity substations, are so n7merous that yo7 can’t afford enough of the expensive systems like NSAM to cover them all.

That is true, but it is not quite the same argument and producing a cheaper defence system is not the only solution.
