I’ve now seen the Xmas message from the top and am astounded at what they’ve done.
Is bullying so rife now that nobody could say that it wasn’t exactly the best idea to do what they did? Is there an atmosphere of fear that stopped ANYONE from ‘challenging’ them? If this is what people think motivates people, then they are badly mis-briefed.
I think the next CDS is likely to come from the Senior Service, as I don’t see a hoot of the ‘right stuff’ in this video.
Obviously my own thoughts, but there’s enough out there circulating to say this has brought an element of disbelief.

I've been taking flak all day at work from ex-mil colleagues (RN, RM and AAC) and I just can't defend it.

It is the worst piece of cringeworthy PR I have ever seen.

I gather CASWO is actually a good chap so how they persuaded him to do this is beyond me.

Presumably this total embarrassment is the work of some PR firm who thought it made the RAF look caring - just makes CAS and CASWO look like they are having a bromance.

Utterly awful!

I hope some of the memes that are flying around now make their way to CAS's phone!

And they thought Mediocre Gun was an embarrassment to the organisation? 😂

Without any social skills I think the PM maybe should have given the role to Stu. Sometimes a warfighter that doesn't get people, is better than the unknown?

Just read on goat that disciplinary action is threatened against people circulating the vid or memes there of. What did the Service become, when it can't ridicule those that need it most?

Seems to me that CASWO was having trouble reading the autocue, and CAS was so pleased that CASWO had managed without prompting!

A few of our older members may remember who I mean when I say that that whirring noise you can hear is former RAF Regiment Warrant Officer Danny Gourd spinning in his grave. I certainly don't remember any WO's like that when I was a Rockape!

I think it's great that Rocks feel more comfortable showing their softer side which we all knew they had.
For too long they've been weighed down with a false macho image and ridiculous moustaches.

I only grew a ridiculous moustache when I quit the Rockapes and became aircrew. Actually it only lasted until half way through my nav course, when the constant mockery convinced me I ought to shave it off. Now I have both a ridiculous beard and a moustache!
