Hawk formation take off near miss in 2019
Just seen the HUD tape on the web, what caused the sudden pitch up etc? Wake turbulence?

Did not know the Red Arrows used the Hawk T 2,when did they upgrade?
|
Just missed a 'horror' crash, because just missing a 'nice' crash would have been un-Topgunlike. I assume?

The fleet of 128 Hawk aircraft
Hawk jets have been used to train British pilots since 1976. The Hawk T2 version is powered by Rolls-Royce engines and has a top speed of 639mph. The fleet of 128 Hawk aircraft have LCD displays rather than conventional instrumentation and a Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) intended to prevent mid-air crashes.
