A lot depends on the commercial arrangement to build them - they'll all be built in the USA - Wisconsin I believe and the FREMM design has been on the USN list for at least 3 years. There were 5 designs in the frame but only two US designs - one of those was based on an LCS (which don't seem to be flavour of the month) and the other on the Legend cutter - which is quite an old design I think.
The real money will be made fitting all those US -only bits of kit . It'll be interesting to see what the final cost is if they go-ahead with the FREMM |

Selects the design but little or no chance of any European content, voters have to be pleased.
