Sixty Years of C130 operation by the RAAF was celebrated at the Clarendon Tavern (on the site of the old Ma's Pub) when members from the original C130A pick-up in 1958 through to current operators enjoyed a great day of recalling old times and learning about how the RAAF works today. Thank you to 37 Sqn Association and Lockheed Marting for making this day possible. |
So how did it go?

60 Years
It was a great day Lonewolf. I joined the RAAF in Feb 1958 and later spent 10 years on C130A-E-H as a F/E between '68 and '78. Many old friends were there and it was good to catch up and share a beer and a yarn.

Grats on still being alive, I had a few cocktails yesterday with a man who joined the USN in the same year. (We were watching the Woods/Mickelson golf match thing). Glad to here you had a good party and reunion. The Herc's a heck of a bird.
Still looking at the grass from the green side, goodonya! |
