Something happening at STN, I am close by and military jet(s) can be heard overhead

All quiet now overhead, not much showing on Flight Radar in to STN

Just seen a Tweet from Stowmarket Police confirming it was a military aircraft but no further detail.

FR14 & FR1393 were in a holding pattern, now looks like on approach.

TRTN704 out of Brize, just off Gt Yarmouth at 18,000ft.

Apparently a bomb threat made in Lithuania but they let it take off anyway? Seems a little odd.

Why was it diverted from Luton to Stansted? Both are busy commercial airports in the same general area. No doubt there is a good reason, maybe someone can oblige?

Stansted is designated to receive hijacked aircraft. Nice little ba-boom heard here this morning and the echo rang around the local area for a surprising length of time.
