On the Recourse Sqn at DIOT years ago we had a (genuine) end-of-course prize called the `Sir Richard Head Memorial Prize` given, ostensibly, for the 'most valuable contribution to the course`; in keeping with the cruelty of Service humour however this prize was actually awarded to the member of the course who had proved to be the most intellectually challenged ; to my knowledge, none of the winners of the 'Dick Head' trophy ever fully realized just what a 'valuable contribution' they had really made; if they did they certainly weren't saying!! :D
