Half Yearly Promotions List

Anyone yet seen the 1 Jul Promotions List? I know the list of names would probably not fill the back of a postage stamp these days, but surely there must be some!

Willard Whyte 1st Jul 2011 12:45

Nowt on the rafmod site as yet.

RAF - Officers Promotions

Nothing on the Manning Intranet site either (and no pre-release to COs) - probably taking too long to type all the names on the list......

jamesdevice 1st Jul 2011 15:39

surely the half-yearly redundancy list has superseded it?
Sack all those due promotion to save costs

I'm afraid that there IS a half yearly promotion list - perhaps you were told that there wasn't to avoid the sorrow associated with telling you bad news about your non-appearance?

I dimly remember something about there not being one this Jul though - or perhaps the madness that is sweeping across Defence has eaten my brain too?

For those with Intranet access - you can prove that my first para is correct by going to http://www.manning.raf.r.mil.uk/revi...f_yearly_1.htm

And for those who can't access Intranet, the clue is at the end of the title!:D

To be fair, Switchmonkey is right in that there are no flt lt to sqn ldr promotions in the Jan 11 list. However, I didn't think the new policy had kicked in for the other ranks yet.

In any case, they should publish an annual list for the flt lt to sqn ldr promotions and the last one was Jul 10.

But I'm definitely not expecting to be in it anywhere!

Al R 1st Jul 2011 16:24

Out of interest, is reading the list when its released to one and all, the first inkling that the lucky winners have that they're promoted?

cazatou 1st Jul 2011 18:35

Al R

What makes you think there will be more than one winner?

tmobile 1st Jul 2011 19:17

Are you hoping to get picked A1 R? Surely your boss would tell you first?

Standby! 1st Jul 2011 19:22

tmobile. Don't show ur naivety! If u can PVR via the touch of a button, perhaps u could get promoted in a similar way!!!;)

Al R 2nd Jul 2011 10:52

T,

Not me - I haven't been promoted by the RAF for at least 7 years and 10 months.

Willard Whyte 2nd Jul 2011 11:05

13 years 7 months here. Not complaining though, far from it in fact. Anyway, PA has its upsides.

ShortFatOne 2nd Jul 2011 12:37

19 years 9 months, agree about PA!:ok:

MechGov 2nd Jul 2011 14:01

24 years 3 months. Have I won? Got a "Rec" last year. One more good year and ISS.....

Biggus 2nd Jul 2011 16:33

MechGov,

No, you haven't won..... 29 and bit years in my case, and I'm sure I haven't won either.

I was at a brief from Manning about staff training for Officers (ROAD?) a few months back, and I didn't fit anywhere on their "legacy" tables. I did point out that I had passed the C exam and OCC (not JOCC....!!), but I mainly got puzzled looks.....!!!

Capt Niff Naff 2nd Jul 2011 17:08

29 years 11 months and 2 days !! And not 1 day of parole!
CNN

PS. ISS only, failed the C and then they dissolved it.

Biggus 2nd Jul 2011 17:12

....you see, I told you that I wouldn't win...... ;)
