Puma Reunion 2007

Ladies and gents, as it has almost become a tradition to have the Puma Reunion on the last Friday in November, the 2007 event will take place on the 30th.
Same time, same place, same levels of general tomfoolery expected please.
Regards
Me

SaddamsLoveChild 20th Jun 2007 10:16

Suggest discretion on this forum in line with CAS directive regarding negative publicity opportunities when undertaking social events. Be aware of media interest and Journo subterfuge to get an invite and put you all in the news. Mind you no publicity is bad publicity and I gather the Puma force enjoy a good blow!!!

obnoxio f*ckwit 20th Jun 2007 12:52

That's why I put "Same time, same place". All those who need to know, should already know!

charliegolf 20th Jun 2007 12:59

So if you haven't yet been to one, but would like to... You're er, bu@@ered?

Or is there a secret emoticon wink you can use?:)

PM is best. Just declare your hand, who you are etc and I am sure all the details will be forthcoming. A great get to gether.

ReturnOfX 20th Jun 2007 20:08

Saddam'sLover

If you were in the know, you would know the code, and therefore know that the reunion isn't really on the 30th, it isn't in the same place or at the same time and most certainly isn't open to the same people who went last year and therefore know when and where it should be. However, CAS, the fun-police and journos who can't find a better story on the night (which is different to the same one as last time) are welcome to meet at the same place, assuming they know where the same place is. So now you know.

R 21 20th Jun 2007 20:39

Well I wont be there, I wont be getting rather tipsy, I wont be talking arse to who will listen and I most certainly will not be sitting in the corner talking to myself ......... Ok I will:ok:

Looking forward to it!!

Tigs2 20th Jun 2007 23:54

Actually we could make this all legal by re-titleing the do- 'Ritchies mates, collegues and peer group do'! The MODS could fix it in a heart beat. That would take away the legal worries, and no one can complain! What do you think Obnoxio:ok:

Fish Eagle 21st Jun 2007 15:37

To all the Puma drivers world wide...have a blast! :ok:

Just to put it back on the front page for the weekend Pruners.

ShyTorque 23rd Jun 2007 10:16

OF,

I've tried to contact you but the system says you don't accept PMs and my PPRuNe email went unanswered (possible failure of the mail system). Is there any way to make contact; I wouldn't mind going along if possible - or is it really a case of "you can't go unless you've gone before"?

Cheers, ShyT.

Tigs2 23rd Jun 2007 13:51

Shy
pm me if you want.

obnoxio f*ckwit 23rd Jun 2007 17:46

Sorry about that, try me now.

obnoxio f*ckwit 20th Oct 2007 15:33

Just to put it back up as a reminder for those who didn't see it first time round.

Strobin Purple 20th Oct 2007 18:13

How will I get home? BoomSow has negotiated the Tube for me for the last 3 years and he's on exchange now. Maybe I'll just drink orange juice.

For those in the know, Rotorheads share club meets in the Club at 1000, if the Sec hasn't run away to South America (again) with all our profits.

see you all there...

obnoxio f*ckwit 20th Oct 2007 18:20

Maybe I'll just drink orange juice.
Mate, your body would reject anything as healthy as OJ straight out. Just follow the example of many of your fellow reunionees and pass out in the gutter for a few hours.

You know you want to.

This year I am not going to have the MOST expensive crap curry in a soho Curry Shop with the illegitemate son of the inventor of the Jet Engine (after his trip in a Vickers Vimmy to Nairobi) and then I won't be having a Kebab on my way back to the hotel at or around 0200................................:E

Rest of you chaps - as this will be my first one and I'm still the hardened drinker I always was could we make sure there's fresh Sprite on tap at The Waggon and Coaches.

Strobin Purple 21st Oct 2007 11:08

Hey DH,

I thought that after the All Blacks last game, you'd be an alcoholic by now!

And I never did get to hear:

"G020, 1 x 747 throu' the overhead East to west FL390, G020"

Dunhovrin 21st Oct 2007 11:13

Westbound I'm too busy sorting out the sandwich tray. Eastbound it's brekkie time. Will discuss at length when we're in The Loadmasters' Arms. Hmm let me re-phrase this..

If it is me who you are referring to as Gibraltar Al, then unfortunately I will not be attending, on my way to the Cape Verde Islands more than likely

Bloody Good Do last night

Fantastic do last night, great to see a lot of my old mates and make some new ones. Feeling a bit shabby this morning.

Looking forward to the next one already.

A very Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you all.

Agreed, top night, an awesome turnout, and fitting tribute (hope you were watching Ritchie!). A big thanks to the chap who organised it (you know who you are, and so do we:D:D) Now back to my rather lethargic day.

R 21 1st Dec 2007 18:14

What a day what a night thanks to the big man for organising it. Looking forward to next year :D:D

lsh 1st Dec 2007 20:03

Absolutely top night, as ever. Great to see so many familiar faces, and it was the usual curry/chinese option, or 'Eatin's Cheatin!'

Particular hat-tip to those who came straight from further afield, and to the mad scientists :ok:

See you in '08...

obnoxio f*ckwit 2nd Dec 2007 08:45

Have done a quick scout through the blue book, and there are 150 e-mails on the list (actually 170, but there are a few of the [email protected] types!), so an excellent turnout. One day, I'll actually remember one of these things!

Dunhovrin 2nd Dec 2007 13:29

Don't think I've seen as many jolly fat men since Santa Claus school. But enough about the loadie mafia. Great turn out and great to listen to so many ex-junta staff officers telling me that No, THEIR job was much more important than everyone else's. Maybe it was the jetlag that got the eyelids going...

But top night all round and I'll be back for '08 - though maybe with a bigger pink chit. Well done, fat bloke.

Strobin Purple 2nd Dec 2007 14:13

DH, I'm, surprised you noticed....you drank your own body-weight in Spitfire and didn't move from the same position for 6 hrs whilst regaling all with your medal mish story!

See you next year. Say hi to Dres for me.

Cim Jartner 2nd Dec 2007 16:52

Dunhoverin has a medal? - he didn't tell me that - oh no wait, he might have done.......

Well organised etc but why did the pretty lady in the casino take all my money off me later - was I bad?

Dunhovrin 2nd Dec 2007 19:35

Oooh if I could only work out who Cim Jartner is I'd, I'd give him a piece of my mind!

jayteeto 3rd Dec 2007 06:42

Cim, I thought my name was obvious!! Has DH got a medal then?

Roger Sofarover 5th Sep 2008 04:55

Any News on 2008??

Dundiggin' 5th Sep 2008 05:18

28 Nov 08 from what I am hearing......................:ok:

cornish-stormrider 5th Sep 2008 12:41

Dat's my birthday, I will be the same age as my puma sqn I served on. Where be my invite??

Yes and obviously I worked (allegedly) on 230 - not.

Another stupid question though - is it only you winged master race that get to go or are your humble groundcrew let into the corner and given half a shandy?
