Arrow

BBC Look North News has just announced that this is thought to be the result of a birdstrike. Glad to hear the pilot is OK.

Tim, my comment was a dig at the BBC for headlining it as "an RAF fighter". Regular contributors will know that PPRuNe deplores sloppy reporting. To their credit, they "dropped" this headline in later editions, which is why ORAC's link no longer shows this.

Edited to placate farfrompuken and min drag, who also appear to have missed the point.

Newswatcher.....

MASSIVE!!!!!

I hope

Think your protocol is way off track, mate.

Get a life.

Well done to the chap involved. Hope your recovery is rapid, and give yourself a pat on the back (but not before it's stopped hurting!!!!)

Great news that the pilot got out ok.
Not so good news for the grey faces in the Treasury when the RAF tell them that they want 32 new Hawks and not the 31 that they (the Treasury) are still dithering about.

Newswatcher

No. of posts not necessarily related to length of time spent browsing PPRuNE, just occasionally someone gets under your skin enough to have to make comment!

Well done to the chap who jumped out - jet, trainer, fighter - whatever, a bird at 420kts wakes you up just the same
