Not TVNZ, either. Hopeless. It's been just like the rest of their programming - all repeats....

I watched several channels to try and get a varied view. They were all pretty poor on the whole, but I think that partially comes of trying to give 24 hour coverage and filling time with so called experts and their constant drivel.

However, I am ashamed to say that the once great BBC were by far the worst of the western channels, almost on a par with Al Jaz for broadcasting Iraqi propoganda. I would seriously like to see an enquirey into the BBC's coverage carried out.

Despite that David Chater ar$e, Sky did tend to give the most unbiased coverage. They also had the most stupid bint of an anchor and error prone 'expert' to give hours of entertainment with all thier gaffs

Thumbs up A good Choice....

Thankfully living in the Middle East and:

A: Having a real insight into whats going on; and

B:Great coverage from every other network known to man, woman and Noah!

It is possible to confidently vote that none, I say again, none, of the western media services provided credible coverage of the "ongoing" (and I must stress "ongoing") Middle East Crisis.

LOOK AT THE SCOREBOARD!

Red face Which Network Hast War Coverage?

Can't argue with the shocking pro-Iraq BBC coverage but let's also acknowledge Sky's dreadful and unforgiveable spelling mistakes! Air Vice "Marshall", "millitary", "Fareford" etc etc... then their banner gave the weather in "Arberdeen"! I sent a couple of courteous emails which were not acknowledged.... big surprise there then! Hi to all old chums.... the multiple sclerosis is really getting at me now but I'm still smiling! BM

I support the BBC in so much as it didnt simply take a patriotic/pro goverment line like many of the US networks.

However, any kudos they got for this was lost in my eyes because of the glaring anti war agenda that came across in most of their reporting and comment.

The BBC by a mile. (although Abu Dhabi TV had some major scoops, but got little credit because everyone in the West thought they were AJ....) News is not propaganda - if you want jingo bollox read the Sun. Most of Sky's reporting wasn't worth the name - words of one syllable for Sky-viewers. Don't even start me on Fox, I always though CNN was septic enough...

The only person who made ANY sense on ANY channel was Mark Urban on BBC2's Newsnight.

All the equipment correctly identified and all the inferences correctly drawn. He had a blinding war without any of the wild speculation from many other idiots on BBC, ITN or the Sceptic networks.

The worst of the lot was Fox - laughable, incoherent and jingoistic. They were a mirror image of Iraq's "Comical" Ali.

This is the ultimate armchair general's poll. The journos didn't get it right all the time, any more than the forces who fought the war did. Rolling 24-hour news coverage isn't like producing Mansfield Park. Better to have had some news than none at all. And if you were too dumb to see through the obvious errors or too pedantic to overlook the subtle ones, bigger the fool you.
