OCU Closure?

Many of us with the LL65 postcode are hearing some great rumours about all of the OCU's. When alot of our finest are going on a desert safari rumours have surfaced that the OCU's will grind to a halt causing delays (of many months) for those of us trying to escape the delights of N Wales.

With many of our experienced members being deployed (some from the OCU) what effect will this have on the time between 19 and future courses? the rumour mill is working overtime on this one and maybe the saying "Never let the truth get in the way of a good rumour" holds fast. Can anyone of experience or someone in the right position shed some light on the matter.

Thanks

(the title was only meant to grab attention and check out this thread)

I can't predict what will happen this time, but in GW1 the sausage machine kept grinding on (at least in the F-3 world so I presume the others did as well). The only problem was the occasional shuffle of non-op pilots to another Sqn to continue their op work-up while their own Sqn was deployed.

Hope you end up where you want.

Courses are rolexing, however not due to the playing in the sandbox. GR4 crse delays are, as far as I know, due to wx and the large crse sizes in house...

GL!

Even their lordships know that the last thing you do in war is to close down your training scheme - unless you are planning on losing of course.

I can assure you that even though a massive number of a certain tandem-rotor aircraft are deployed, almost all in fact, the OCU continues in earnest.

There may be some rolexing occuring, but measured in weeks.
