EF Typhoon

After reading a couple of the Eurofighter threads I'm wondering what are the real views most RAF pilots hold of their new jet?

So what do the TPs think of the Typhoon? AS A PACKAGE, ie not just a 'great airframe'

It doesn't exist as a full-up package yet.

No IRST. Radar status uncertain. DVI library still expanding. Other avionics items not yet fully ready.

So do you accept an evaluation of what it should be like if it all works like it does in the rig? If so then it should be great. If not, it's a great engine/airframe combination, and that's the most that can be said.

I've often wondered where we'd be now if they'd simply productionised the EAP and added AN/APG-65/-73.

From a purely aesthetic point of view, I think its a ugly looking critter, though it pains Draper greatly to say this, that French Rafale has sexier lines.
