Thumbs up Navy Day

Not exclusively an aircrew topic but...

Last week I was fortunate enough to be invited to spend a day aboard a Type 23 (HMS Iron Duke to be precise) as part of the RN's Staff College week.

I just wanted to say thank you to the crew of Iron Duke and the other RN types who made the day possible and for being so accommodating and also to the flight crews on the MR2, Lynx Mk8 (?), Merlin, FA2, GR7, Hawk and the mystery business jet (FR Av?) that conducted the mock AW/AAW demo for us.

Altogether an excellent day out - and lunch was not bad either.

Again, thanks all round.

Regards

TF.
