5 Squadron - last calls

I hear that 5 Sqn will have the last parade this Friday (27th) at Conningsby. The Standard will be laid up in the Airman?s chapel of Lincoln Cathedral.

I was 3 Sqn then, but knew 5 back in the days of Javelins at Geilenkirchen, battle flights, start-up fires and Firestreaks - no more red band and maple leaf, eh?

Or will 5 resurect?

To all those still "in", have as much fun as you can mates - there's not much of the mob left.
