BADGES!

BADGES!

As I have no idea how to contact the ‘management’ of Pprune I am posting this here.

I am amused at the ‘Badges’ business which fills the page – tiresomely - every time I log into Prune.

I see that the categories whereby you can add to your Prune status include “Community Influencer and Community Builder”. What on earth is all that about?.

This smacks of wokery.

I can understand the length of time as a Pruner badge, but why not include something more meaningful that might give an indication of the poster’s experience of the subject matter?

For Example: 2 tours or more on a Ground Attack or Air Defence squadron; Operational experience of actual Air war: Falklands, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. etc.; membership of a formation aerobatic display team, etc. etc.

I’m sure you can think of many more.

How would you suggest these claims to be verified?
You bellyache about the badges yet you ask for ‘merit’ badges.
All forums owned by the DeathStar have been polluted with the ‘badges’.
You can turn your off too, as I have done mine.
