Royal Air Force Vocational Experience Programme

I would like to know what you guys think of this. The course has been running inEast and West Sussex for Schools for the past 4 years, it is staffed mainley by the Officers and Senior NCO's from the ATC squadrons in the reigon. The course has been very successful and we are receiving positive feedback from both schools and students.

The Website is www.rafvep.org.uk

Please have a look at this and let me know what you think.

Followed the link, and was confronted with the phrase "Students are expected to give 110% during the course enabling staff and students to gain maximum satisfaction from the week." Bit of a cliche. Intrigued to see it is run by a Plt Off. Do we still have those?

Yep, it is fantastic fun for us to run as staff, although very tiring. As somebody who hadn't worked with the ATC before to experience the professionalism of the staff was amazing.

The website doesn't really do the course justice, although it does give a good idea of what goes on. As a student experience, I think the best indication of what is to be had is to say this. This year, we had several students return who had been on week 1, and came back to learn more on week 4. They subsequently joined their nearest ATC and we expect to see them as staff next year. It's a blast for both staff and studes!

I staffed it with no expectations and had quite frankly one of the best and most educational times of my life!

And yes, the Plt Off is still there. This partictular one is quite something....nuff said!

King Wibble - I assume you were staff this year. I'm the staff member (one of the sqn execs) who was guilty of irish EOD, found a dry ditch full of water on the nightex, week 1, and was on the tiger sqn week 4. Plus I was the one who messed up in the parade on wk 4. Oh yeah, and I was the one who SJG was dancing with a fair bit!

Who are you? PS. I'm not Rob!
