Help Please

Good afternoon all. I have re-started my quest into my late father’s RAF history. I need to tie-down his time in Burma at the end of the war when he flew Daks as part of a searcher Sqn. Working with the Ghurkas, they combed the jungle and other bondu looking for downed aircraft. I have some pics, but no detail as far as the Sqn or Flt number is concerned. Armed with that information it will be much easier to trace his movements when I visit the National Archives. An interweb search has been of little help. Any info gratefully received!
