Air Cadets Buckinghamshire Guests

Hi All
I have been a long time lurker on this forum, thanks for the many great stories and insights.
I am civvy and have recently got involved (civ com) with our local Air Cadets in Beaconsfield in Bucks. My lad and several of his mates have all joined in the last year, and we have gone from around 8 kids to 20+ average attendance.
We always like to have speakers in to talk to the cadets about their time in aviation and the RAF/ Military, if anyone is interested in joining us one evening it would be great, please DM me.

Best
Ian

Welcome Ian,

Unfortunately, because you are a new PPRuNer, no one can message you until you have the requisite number of posts - 10 I think.

I suggest you sign up for a non-identifying Gmail account in the meantime and post it here.

Many years ago I was OC 1811 (Marlow) Sqdn so not too far away from Beaconsfield. Our parent station was RAF High Wycombe and we sometimes got 'guest' speakers from there so you might try to contact the ACLO there.
By the way, were you aware that Wilton Park was almost an airfield in 1942 but for certain reasons, it was built as an interrogation centre instead? There were also plans for an airfield at Holtspur but they were cancelled.
