Larry Taylor, Vietnam helicopter pilot

Obituary for Larry Taylor, Cobra pilot who defied orders and landed under fire to rescue four soldiers, who had to cling to the skids and rocket pods. A brave man.

Good man. He did what all military helicopter pilots would like to think they would have done, but not many would.

What was the surname of "our" Larry?
He converted us to B412 in the groundschool at Shawbury, around 1997.
Great guy. Had flown Cobra in Vietnam too.

I don't have numerical data to refute your comment, but I believe many Army helo pilots during that conflict performed acts of valor and heroism than were ever awarded medals. Friends of mine who were there say such valorous and selfless acts occurred on a daily basis.
