Brazilian Air Force downs a Cessna

Brazilian Air Force intercepts and shoots down 'suspicious' Cessna plane
The Brazilian Air Force intercepted a suspicious small plane over the northern state of Roraima on Monday. The Cessna 182 had entered Brazilian airspace nearly 70 miles west of Boa Vista. When the pilot failed to respond to warnings, military aircraft forced the plane to land by firing on it.
Not much info to go on, but apparently they shot at it, the plane made a forced landing, and whomever was in it fled. (Not sure if he was later picked up or not).
Anyone have more details/news on this?

From the video, the pilot made a reasonable fist of a landing on a dirt track. It was clickbait on my browser for a while, gone now or I would link to it

Is this old? I seem to recall something similar a while ago?

Some comments seem to indicate it's old footage

although this Brazilian source states it's recent

I guess for this type of mission the Super Tucano would be the most appropriate. Otherwise they fly F-5 and some JAS 39 Gripen

OK, Spotters ... what's the "not a Cessna" escorting it near the start of that MSN clip?

Hard to say, might be a Tucano but looks a bit small unless it's sneaking up from behind and underneath.

Wingspan of EMB-314 and C172 are very similar (as are those of the two a/c in the clip) and the Super Tucano is the only low wing, low tailplane prop driven aircraft operated by the Brazilian military.

Yup, it won the Armed Overwatch competition for US Special Operations Command. Now that would be a story.
