is it even feasible to have a helicopter hovering and firing a machine gun these days? In some colonial insurgency where the bad guys only have rusty AK47s perhaps, but in any contested battlefield with missiles and drones I'd expect the helicopters life span to be measured in minutes not years... ditto really missiles against tanks... what range are these missiles?

If they are going to buy the previously proposed SPIKE ER2 anti-armour variant. it has a published effective range of 10km Optical Fibre datalink or 16km with optional RF datalink.
