Wg Cdr Dave Scott (Scottie)

Fellow Mil Aircrew.
I’m sad to announce the passing of my great friend Scottie. I met him on our Canberra OCU in 1987 and flew with him on 100Sqn, 43(F)Sqn, 56Sqn, and on 43(F) Sqn again as Flight Commanders. We were pretty much Co-located for most of our RAF Careers. He served as a Staff Officer with 1 Gp at HQ Air before he left the service to work for a defence contractor in the UAE.

His funeral will take place in Bergerac, France next Tuesday 03 October at 1145.

Please pass the sad news on to those who knew him. Please PM me if you want details for the funeral.

Stay safe all

JC

PM unavailable

It would seem that my idea to set up a PPrune account and let people know about Scottie has one major flaw. Until I make 3 posts I cannot have access to the PM system. If you have tried to message me please reply to the thread and I’ll respond there if appropriate! Ta.

Security, it’s not a dirty word Blackadder….unlike crevice.

Extremely sad news. I was also on Canberras and F3’s at the same time as Scottie and will always remember his love of life. RIP Scottie.
